I know most of the five people who read this blog are RSS junkies. Here is another to add to your collection. It's a feed of micro-blogs -- less than 160 characters -- I've started writing. My hope is that I will be able to keep the time between posts proportional to the reduced size of the entries. We shall see.
The entries can be composed in a web interface, over IM, or via SMS. So if I have a stray thought I can just shoot off an IM to post it. I'm hoping convenience will defeat laziness.
Also, I added my shared feed items to Jaiku so if you add the Jaiku feed you may see some dupes.
Full disclosure: My benevolent overloads have recently acquired Jaiku.

Let the pet picture arms race begin.
Moving Round One is finished. On my fiftieth trip from my old apartment to my car I realized I had too much stuff. So last week I started giving things away. My TV which had given me so many glorious hours of Daily Shows and Losts is now my former roommates. My monitor, which some thought would never die, is now the properly of a grateful co-worker. (Still alive and kicking.) Numerous other items ended up at the local thrift store. Most of my movie posters are going to my brothers and sister. At first I was afraid to give up my precious things but now that they are gone a weight has been lifted.
I'm going to sell my shitty DVD player/speakers on craigslist and my GameCube on eBay. EB offered me a whole $15 dollars for it but I'm going to throw in a few games and see how eBay treats me. Just think, if I had two GameCubes they would be worth tens of dollars at EB. I've never sold anything on craigslist or eBay so it's as much for the experience as anything.
I'm looking for a smaller, more portable but still comfortable bed. I hate to give it up but my couch won't fit in my car. I'm looking for a futon that comes part and isn't a piece of shit.
The fire sale and search continues.
Typing fire sale reminded me of Live Free or Die Hard. All the world's financial information on a portable hard drive. Brilliant.

Hiya everybody!
Looks like everyone (except maybe Mike, he tries) hasn't been blogging that much recently.
Well lets see if I can get it started up again, SINCE ITS FUN TO KNOW WHAT MY BUDDIES ARE UP TO!
As for me, not much has happened. Just lazin' around and doing some job hunting.
Sooo.... BLAH BLAH BLAH.
As for what stuff I've been looking at:
ROCK BAND
Woooo! Dibs on the drum set!
Looking forward to this baby and hoping to save some money by using the guitar I get with GH3 when that comes out.
We'll have to book some shows so that we get everyone together to play this online.
MOTHER 3
In case you're a noob and don't know what this is about I'll explain.
Quite a few years ago in the age of the SNES, an amazing RPG was release called Earthbound.
This game was named Mother 2 in Japan since they also had a game called Mother for the NES (its a series, YO!).
Earthbound was known for its great story line and very unusual humor (read up more if you like or go play it, I don't want to explain its amazingness anymore).
Well to the main point, Mother 3 was released for the GBA but only in Japan. Thus, those of us that can't read Japanese ( LIKE MYSELF) are unable to fully enjoy this game.
But the good news is that a group of Earthbound/Mother fans are translating the game for us Englishers.
So if anyone is interested in the progress of Mother 3 or just like to hear how much of a pain it is to actually translate a game, head over to mother3.fobby.net and take a look at some of the updates they've posted.
As for what games I'm currently playing....
Due to my buying of an Xbox 360 a few months ago, I've been having fun buying up some tasty games included in its collection:
Crackdown
Burnout Revenge
Viva Pinata
Chromehounds
Dead Rising
Gears of War
G.R.A.W.
Bioshock
(plus a bunch of Xbox Live Arcade games)
For anyone picking up a 360, I would suggest getting Crackdown and Dead Rising as a good start.
Oooo, I can post my gamer tag too, weee!
Thats all I can think of right now, but hopefully I won't forget about the blog again and post some more.

I slipped and fell in the rain while I was walking to my car after work. I'm at the hospital. The wait is long.
It's cool though. Futurama is on in the background. It's the one where Bender adopts orphans.

So here's my first post on Big Dumb Rocket. As promised to others, I am making my first blog post ever in honor of making the first episode of the podcast. If I haven't accosted you about listening to it, then I don't know how I didn't. Go click the AMP'ed link right now, and listen.
We had a blast making it, and I knew we would. Hopefully it won't be the last. I am so excited that we got it out the door. I have to say thanks to Mike for working with me extensively on it, and thanks to Paul and Bean for being there to put in their two cents.
Walking back to my car through the grocery's parking lot a man pulls up beside me. "Do you have any change to spare so I can buy gas to get home?", he asks. Slightly off guard I respond quickly, "Sorry no". He shoots back, "Could you check?". I pull my cell phone out of my pocket and shrug. He drives off.
If I ever needed gas money I'd park and shut off my car to conserve gas before begging. At least then I wouldn't be insulting the intelligence of the people my hands were stretched toward.

I had been away for so long I had almost forgotten things like this happen back home. This image was captured about a 100 yards from my high school's graduation ceremony. Some knuckleheads decided to drive their tractors to graduation. Notice what appears to be a Confederate Flag attached to the back. Only one word can describe the above -- classy.

Yeah, I know it's been a while since I (or any of us for the matter) have made any new entries, letting down the one of you that have been dying for more. To be honest, there hasn't been much happening on my end besides the staple video games, and tv pastimes. Since I'm spending the summer by myself at RIT, I doubt there will be any events to cajole me out of my writing drought in the near future.
However, for roughly the past month now, I've been doing battle with a treacherous and clever foe....ants. Towards the end of the spring quarter, the bastards found a way into the apartment, and after seeing the odd ant or two in the bathroom, they eventually settled on making the kitchen their home turf. It wasn't long before masses of ants were seen crawling along the floors, sinks, and some of the walls even, greedily feeding off of whatever splotches of food and crumbs they could find. Note that though I'm a usually bit lax about washing the dishes, the apartment isn't really that dirty. Trust me, it could be a lot worse off.
As the ants became more of a problem, and because I wanted to avoid using chemicals outright, I consulted the Internet looking for alternative ways of defeating my tiny adversaries. Eventually, I read about ant killing formula of mixing honey with sugar and yeast. Supposedly, the ants are attracted to the honey and sugar, and as they consume it, they also consume the yeast. As the yeast reacts inside their bodies, gas builds up within them, and since they have no way of burping or farting like we humans do, they eventually explode. After reading this, I went into the kitchen to make a batch of the formula and spread it on a few index cards, placing them where the ants were commonly seen. In the following days, it was common for me to wake up and go into the kitchen to see a line of dismembered and devastated ants along the index cards I set. (Forgive me for not posting any pictures, but I don't have a camera with me.)
In present time, although their numbers have dwindled, and they tend to stay in one corner now, the ants still remain, feeding off the additional ant traps I put down. I must admit there a resilient bunch, but the war hasn't ended yet. I still have some of the formula left so hopefully that will finish the rest off, otherwise it will be time to bring out the heavy RAID artillery.

Waikiki - Week One
Our hotel, the Hale Koa, primarily catered to military families. It had a strange but welcoming vibe. First order of business was to find an ABC Store and round up some guava nectar and macadamia nuts. I ate like a king in Hawaii. I spent most days at the beach either swimming or reading. John and I wandered around Waikiki stumbling across restaurants and trendy shops with pirate DVD stores in the rear. Prada was only a couple of blocks from run down projects. We took an island tour which was a pretty sweet way to see a good portion of Oahu. I had an informational interview with a company in Honolulu. They weren't hiring but I gained some insight into the Hawaiian job market. As in most areas, it seems that entry level positions are filled by locals whereas senior positions involve active recruitment. Waikiki was relaxing and fun.
Kauai - Week Two
The Cliffs, on the north shore of Kauai, was home for the second week of the trip.
Weekend - Visited Hanalei. Settled in.
Monday - A scuba diving company held a free lesson in the condo's pool. I learned the fate of Richard, the scuba instructor that took me on my first dive. He was now a fundamentalist christian that lived in the forest of Hawaii with his wife and their two naturally birthed kids. His family believes that the end is near. He still works for the scuba company in a limited capacity filling, inspecting and blessing the air tanks.
Tuesday - Visited the lighthouse. Drove up to the lookout at the top of Waimea Canyon. Both were serene. Had my most expensive and most delicious meal of the trip at a restaurant overlooking the ocean in Poipu. Swam in the warm ocean water as the sun was setting.
Wednesday - Kayaked and hiked up to a waterfall. It was rough. The trail was a mixer of mud, rocks, and trees. John had a tough time. I didn't prepare him well enough for the hike part of the trip. His sandals were unwieldy further aggravating his feet. The falls were breathtaking. The pool at the bottom allowed a nice cool swim before the long trek back. After a long, strenuous day I was starving. Thankfully that evening we were attending the Smith's Family Garden Luau. I had my fill of pork and Mahi Mahi. It was an open bar but all they had was Budweiser, not one of my favorite brands of beer. I was driving anyway. John had a bunch of Mai Tais. They had a Polynesian dance show after dinner. It was either seductive or disgusting, depending on your estimation of the girls ages.
Thursday - Scuba diving at Tunnels Beach. This was arguably the coolest activity we did the entry trip. An intricate reef lies just below the surface about ten feet out from shore. There were five of us: the guide, two local middle school girls, John and I. The guide was one of the happiest human beings I have ever encountered. He was jolly. Almost a tropical Santa Claus. The guide took us down along the reef to about 40-50 ft. below the surface. We swam up through a fissure in the reef that almost folded over to become a cave. Fish swam around us during most of the dive. We must have been boring because they didn't make any attempt to flee. The dive ended much to quickly. That evening, I went to Lumihai Beach around sunset. It was peaceful.
Friday - Drove down to Lumihai in the morning. I hope to make a nice rasterbation of the photos I took of the beach. Finished packing. Left for the airport.
John setup a photo album with selected pictures from the vacation. John took most of them. A few are mine.

Had a fun time this morning at the Dentist.
Last Thanksgivings I noticed I had a hole on the side of my back molar right at the gumline.
Knowing how important my teeth are, I promply forgot about it until a few weeks ago.
To my surprise, my laspe in memory had no ill consequencees on what was needed to fix my tooth.
To my ultra double surprise, the whole venture took about 15 minutes! I didn't have to sit down in the waiting room.
The only problem I'm having right now is my left side of my face is still numb (it was suppost to last only an hour and a half, and its been more than three). I can't eat anything in fear that I may bite and chew off my left cheek (its hard to manage your flesh without your sense of touch).
Well, its back to work again. If I get bored I may post some more random crap.

Months back, I reported on how my dog Sarah had kick started the dog conspiracy to quietly take the place of their human masters. Now that I'm back at home momentarily, I can now shamelessly put up more pictures of my dogs give you guys an update on their progress.
The large, black dog you'll see below on the right is my new dog and Sarah's new partner Bo. I was allowed to sit in on one of their world domination meetings in back of my house, where they discussed new plans over the chewing of foreign objects:
Later, there was a small argument over who got the right to dig up the rest of my tiny, suburban, backyard, which got a little out of hand:
Based on these events, it seems considerable progress was made from some six months ago, and at this rate, the human race is quite fucked.

One is the loneliest number...
Wednesday, May 24. 2006
Haven't posted in a while, so here's what i've been up to for the past couple of days (to shamelessly rip off the weekly review format seen eariler):
Last Friday: Saw the DaVinchi Code - meh. Worked term paper for one of my classes that I should of had done long ago but didn't since I can't shake my procrastination habit. Went to bed early so i could rise early and continue writing paper/start studying for finals.
Saturday: Woke up early. Spent most of the day writing the term paper, taking occasional breaks, and being envious of Mike and his inexhaustible amount of free time to play New Super Mario Bros. Did some final studying as well.
Sunday: Pretty much the same as Saturday, except with the added "oh shit!" factor of the term paper being due today, and 3 of 4 my finals taking place the next day.
Monday: Fun filled day of taking finals and finishing up group projects. That night, I went to a gathering with a group of friends to celebrate Mike and John graduating. While there, I watch the Alias series finale, which sucked, and rejoiced at the fact that the show was finally over after it had deteriorated so much from when it first aired.
Tuesday: Went to a job interview that seemed to go well. Can't tell if I'll get the job, but at least it's something that may pan out. Dicked around in the afternoon, and starting studying for my last final at night. Fell asleep while studying for said final.
Wednesday Morning to Present: Woke up at 6 AM and cursed out loud for falling asleep. Frantically finished studying for final and took it at 8 AM. After doing a terrible job on it, I came home, ready to relax enjoy leisurely activities for the first time since last week.
